Each month Consumers Energy has an automated meter reading device which reads your meter. The term “month” means the period between two consecutive meter reading dates and is as close as possible to thirty-day intervals.
In emergencies, Consumers Energy may also send estimated bills without reading meters. Estimated bills shall be based on the member’s normal consumption for a corresponding period during the preceding months.
