Meet the Board
Allan Armbrecht, Board Secretary - Treasurer
Allan and his wife, Linda, have been married for 27 years and live
on the family farm near Colo. They are the parents of three children:
Megan Merseth, who is married and lives in Mankato, Minnesota; Adam,
who is an Iowa State University graduate and is working; and Tyler,
a student at Iowa State University.
Education: Colo High School and Iowa State University majoring in
Agricultural Education.
Allan is a self-employed farmer on the family farm and is a CCA
certified chemical and seed dealer for Farm Advantage. He also
works as a substitute teacher at area high schools. Allan’s past
employment history was as a high school vocational agriculture teacher
in Odebolt.
Allan is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in State Center
where he is a choir member and chairman of congregation, and currently serves as a Trustee
for Colo Township. He is a past president of Farm Bureau and past
member of Story County Planning and Zoning Committee; Soil and Water
Conservation Board; Colo Library Board; and the Clemons Lutheran
School Board.
Hobbies Allan Enjoys: Reading; Golfing; Spending Time With Family.
Goals Desired as a Consumers Energy Director: “Move Consumers Energy
and its members to more renewable energy sources, help members to be more
energy efficient, and improve my knowledge of the energy industry.”
