Meet the Board

Kathy Buschbom, Board Director

Kathy lives east of State Center.  She has two children: Andy, 25 years of age; and Amanda, 22 years of age.

Education: Marshalltown Senior High School; Marshalltown Community College; and the University of Northern Iowa.

Kathy currently owns and operates Blink Electric Motors Inc., a family-owned business in Marshalltown for 48 years.

Hobbies Kathy Enjoys: Reading; Harley Riding; and Spending Time at Lake Ponderosa.

Goals Desired as a Consumers Energy Director: “My goal is to work toward member awareness in Consumers Energy's ability to be the trusted energy resource for their individual energy needs and solutions as well as to bring a greater awareness to being better stewards of our environment with renewable energy resources.”
