Meet the Board
Janice Paper, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer
Jan has lived on the same farm northeast of State Center for over
50 years. She has a son, Greg Paper, of rural Stanhope, Iowa;
and
a daughter, Claudia Paper Butler, who lives in State Center, Iowa.
Janice has four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Education: Pisgah High School in Pisgah, Iowa.
Jan retired in May of 2000 after 22 years of employment as a para-educator
in special education for the Marshalltown Community School District
and a special needs van driver for the West Marshall School District.
She worked at the Pleasant Hill Development Center for mentally
handicapped students, Hoglan School, and Miller Middle School.
Jan continues to work part time as a para-educator in special
education
at West Marshall High School in State Center, Iowa.
Jan is a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in State
Center where she has served for 50 years.
Hobbies Jan Enjoys: Reading; Babysitting Her Grandchildren and
Great Grandchildren; Watching Iowa State University WIN at Football
and Basketball
Games.
Goals Desired as a Consumers Energy Director: “My goal is to
be the best director that I can be and learn as much as I can to
keep the cooperative sound and valuable to its members.”
