Consumers Energy Plans to Supply Power to Farm Progress Show
Consumers Energy, a local energy cooperative located in Marshalltown,
Iowa, will provide electricity to this year’s Farm Progress
Show near Alleman, Iowa. The Cooperative serves electricity and
natural gas to over 4,700 members in Marshall, Story, Jasper, Polk,
and Tama counties.
Consumers Energy has been committed to delivering the highest standards
of service for its member-owners since 1938 and is proud to be able
to provide service for the Farm Progress Show again this year. “We
believe very strongly in supporting the communities we serve and
are proud to be such a trusted partner with the Farm Progress Show
in what is a major farm event for many Iowans,” said Brian
Heithoff, CEO/General Manager.
“Construction at the Farm Progress Show site has been underway
for a few weeks and should be completed in early September as planned,”
said Jim Kidd, Energy Services Manager. According to Kidd, the last
of the poles are being set this week and the Field Service Representatives
will begin putting up wire next week. The Farm Progress Show dates
are September 24 – 26.
