Renewable Energy Tour
Consumers Energy is sponsoring a Renewable Energy Tour for its
members-customers and friends of the cooperative. The tour will
be on June 11th and will consist of touring the Biomass Energy Conversion
Facility in Nevada and then touring the Top of Iowa Wind Farm north
of Mason City.
A bus will be rented and will depart from Consumers Energy headquartered
at 2908 South Center Street in Marshalltown at 7:45 a.m. and will
arrive for an 8:30 a.m. tour of the Becon facilities in Nevada.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., the bus will depart for the wind farm.
The wind farm tour will begin at 1:00 p.m., after which the group
will come back to Nevada and then back to Marshalltown. Expected
arrival time back in Marshalltown is 6:00 p.m.

Costs are $13.00 per person for member-customers and $20.00 per
person for non-members. Cost of the tour includes a lunch and snacks.
