Record Attendance At Coop Crazy Dayz Event Held In Marshalltown
Marshalltown, Iowa. (July, 2003) — Each year Consumers Energy holds
a Member Appreciation Event to show appreciation to their members.
This year’s theme was “Coop Crazy Dayz”. The
event was held on June 25 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with record a
attendance totaling over 400 members. We 3 Catering from Belmond,
Iowa, provided a meal which consisted of marinated butterfly pork
chops, potato salad, banana bars, brownies, fresh fruit and plenty
of popcorn for everyone.
The event was an enjoyable evening with
clowns, balloons and crazy dressed employees to assist with the
activities that had been planned
for the children as well as the adults. A Health Fair given by
MMSC offered Cholesterol tests, body fat analysis, blood pressure
checks and free colon test kits. Energy Solutions were on display
that showed the various products and services available through
Consumers Energy. Activities planned for the children that evening
were ring toss, an inflatable bounce-n-slide, face painting done
by a couple of young ladies from the MHS softball team, beanbag
toss, water tic-tac-toe, sidewalk chalk, safety presentations,
and the children had the opportunity to dress up as a Field Service
Representative and have a picture taken.
There were prizes for
all who attended “Coop Crazy Dayz” as
well as for all the children who participated in the activities.
Prizes given away were: Jar Opener Grips, Post-It notepads, $50
POWERFUL Gift Certificate, Ice Cream maker with dishes, two Coleman
Outdoor folding chairs, denim short-sleeve shirt with Consumers
Energy’s logo, Iowa and Iowa State Sweatshirts, and Consumers
Energy ball caps. Winners of the coloring contest were: First Place
- Clarissa Krough, Age 10, 24” Huffy Stone Mountain II Bike;
Second Place - Hannah Johnson, Age 8, NEXT Super Scooter II.
