Consumers Energy Elects New Officers
OCT. 1st, 2003, MARSHALLTOWN — Consumers Energy’s Board of
Directors elected new officers during their first regular board meeting
after the cooperative’s Annual Meeting held in September. Mark Tinnermeier
was elected as President of the board. Mr. Tinnermeir has served on the
board since 1984, with his most recent position being Assistant Secretary-Treasurer.
He follows Robert Collins as President. Mr. Collins continues to serve
as a director on the board, but resigned the President position after serving
in that capacity for 16 years. “Robert has led the organization through
many challenges and changes elegantly and successfully. He needs to be
commended for a job well done,” stated Brian Heithoff, CEO/General
Manager. Other officers elected that evening were: Randy Sorenson – Vice
President; Daniel Lee Dadisman – Secretary-Treasurer; and Kathy Buschbom – Assistant
Secretary-Treasurer.
“As the cooperative celebrates it 65th Anniversary we are
reminded of how blessed we’ve been with outstanding leadership
all these years. Successful organizations don’t just happen
by luck, but require strong leaders, and Mark certainly fits in
that category. I have confidence Mark will carry on that tradition
as he follows in his father’s footsteps. Leonard Tinnermeier,
Mark’s father, served on the board from 1945-1984. Mark
is an outstanding leader and I am looking forward to working more
closely with him in his new role,” states Heithoff.
Mark and his wife, Pat, live on a farm Northeast of Newton. They
are the parents of one son, Marshall, who currently attends Simpson
College. Mark is employed as an Energy Management Specialist for
New Century FS, with past experience in farming and with the sale
and delivery of petroleum.
Consumers Energy is a local, member-owned energy delivery and
energy management cooperative located in Marshalltown, Iowa. The
