Consumers Energy Provides Gas Service to Pink Lake Corn Processors

of Steamboat Rock and Consumers Energy Cooperative of Marshalltown
jointly announce a partnership between their two entities regarding
the delivery of natural gas service.

Consumers Energy Cooperative
is a locally-owned organization whose mission is to identify, understand
and provide energy solutions
to its members and customers in Hardin, Marshall, Story, Polk,
Tama and Jasper Counties. It has been in operation since 1938 and
is headquartered in Marshalltown. Consumers Energy is a Touchstone
Energy cooperative, which is an alliance of local, consumer-owned
electric utilities serving millions of businesses and homes across
the country.
James Broghammer of Pine Lake Corn Processors said, "Consumers
Energy displays the values that we like to see in companies we
intend to do business with. We intend to be operational late this
year and having a natural gas partner in place is a tremendous
advantage given all we have yet to accomplish."

Corn Processors is a locally-owned organization that will build,
own and operate a 20,000,000 gallon a year dry-mill
ethanol production plant north of Steamboat Rock. Financing is
in place and operations will be at full production by the beginning
of 2005.
