Power Outages
We are dedicated to providing you the most reliable, dependable
electric service possible. If an outage does occur:
- Check your fuses/circuit breaker in your fuse panel and in the
fuse box under the meter if the meter is on a pole.
- If any of the lights or appliances in your home are still operating,
the trouble MAY BE in your own system.
- Check with your neighbors to see if they have electricity. This
well help determine the extent of the problem.
Call Consumers Energy at 800-696-6552 or 641-752-1593. Be prepared
to give the name on your bill, your address and your account number.
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we will
notify the emergency resource necessary to respond to the outage
immediately.
In the event of major storms, service to substations will be restored
first. then feeder lines, then individual services. Every call will
be answered.
