Electric Delivery Service
Tree Maintenance
Do you have trees in or near the Consumers Energy's electric
lines that need trimmed or cut down?
Every year tree limbs grow into the Cooperative's lines and cause
problems in delivering uninterrupted grid electric service. Another
problem created by tree limbs is blinking lights.
A right-of-way clear of trees and brush is essential for the efficient
and safe operation of distribution power lines. Trees and limbs
in contact with electric lines may cause power outages, become potential
fire hazards, and/or endanger the lives of children climbing those
trees.
Help us — help you. If you see an area on your property that looks
like the trees could cause a problem with the Consumers Energy's
lines or if you notice brush or trees in the power lines, please
report it to us as soon as possible.. Under some circumstances,
we are willing to cut trees and brush as a service to our members.
Please contact Jim Kidd at 800-696-6552 or e-mail him at jkidd@consumersenergy.coop
to make arrangements.

PLEASE LOOK UP BEFORE YOU PLANT TREES. Our electric right-of-way needs 20 feet on both sides of the line and the ground cleared in order to ensure adequate quality and reliability. Your assistance is appreciated.
