Are your seasonal energy needs taking a bite out of your budget?
They don't have to if you sign up now for Consumers Energy's Budget
Billing Program. Budget Billing is a convenient way for you to more accurately budget
your monthly finances and escape seasonal fluctuations in your bill
by paying a fixed amount every month. The electric or gas price
on Budget Billing is not different from the price you are currently
paying. The program works by establishing an individual payment amount
based on the average of your previous year's electrical or natural
gas consumption. This figure will remain fixed for one year, thus
allowing you to pay the same amount every month. Your budget billing
amount is recalculated once a year in February and adjustments
are made accordingly. To qualify for the Budget Billing Program, you must have been a
member of Consumers Energy for at least 6 months, lived in
the same location for at least 6 months, and have an account in
good standing with the cooperative. To sign up for the Budget Billing Program or for further information,
