By Check
Consumers Energy accepts checks for payment of electric, natural
gas and energy services bills. If a question arises as to the validity
of a personal check, cash or a money order may be required. Second
party checks will not be accepted. If a check is not honored because
of "insufficient funds" or for any other reason, a service charge
will be assessed and the account status will be the same as if no
payment had been made. If a payment is made by personal check in
order to avoid service termination, and the check is not honored,
service may be disconnected after a 24-hour notification.

between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
